Micky Adams has signed his third player in as many days with the arrival of Jay Tabb from Brentford for an undisclosed fee.
Rated as one of the brightest young prospects in League One, the 22-year-old signed a three-year deal this afternoon after passing a medical.
He will link up with his new team-mates at Ryton next week ahead of the trip to America on Wednesday.
A left-sided midfielder, who can also play wide, Tabb has been capped for the Republic of Ireland's Under 21 side. Along with Michael Doyle, he was also called-up by Steve Staunton in May for the senior side for their friendly against Chile.
Micky Adams believes that the Sky Blues have acquired one of the brightest talents in the Football League.
"Jay has a level of maturity beyond his years and at 22, he undoubtedly has more time to grow as a player.
"He has shown his desire to progress in football through his impressive performances for Brentford and I have no doubt that he'll be an important part of our squad for this season and beyond."
